The Wild Hideaway

Laharanshermeen, Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland

Sept 17-20 | £945pp

As summer softens and the first quiet signs of autumn begin to stir, The Wild Hideaway invites you to pause.

Held in the wild beauty of West Cork, this three night retreat is a space to rest, reflect, reconnect, and gather yourself back together at the turning of the season.

Held in the wild beauty of West Cork, this three night retreat is a space to rest, reflect, reconnect, and gather yourself back together at the turning of the season. Nestled in twin-share private eco lodges, the retreat offers a cosy, grounded way of staying, with each lodge creating a peaceful little hideaway to return to after days of movement, nature, and deep rest. Alongside this, on-site sauna and cold plunge facilities offer further space to reset, restore, and reconnect with yourself through the elements.

These stories gently thread through the retreat, not as something to perform, but as something to feel.

In Clíodhna, we meet the call of the sea. The invitation to listen inward. To soften. To trust what is rising within us.

In the Hag of Beara, we meet the grounding wisdom of the land. The knowing that comes through change, through shedding, through standing steady at the threshold of a new season.

Together, they offer a beautiful mirror for this point in the year. September, with all its quiet ripening, asks us to gather what matters, honour what is changing, and begin to turn inward.

Through yoga, deep rest, journaling, nourishing meals, time in nature, and a half day wild foraging and fireside cooking experience, this retreat offers a chance to return to a slower rhythm. One shaped by the season, by the landscape, and by the quiet remembering that happens when we give ourselves space.

This is a retreat for women who are longing to step away from the noise of everyday life and into something more grounded, meaningful, and true.

A space to breathe deeply.
To move gently.
To listen inward.
To be nourished by the land, the elements, and the company of other women.
To gather yourself back together before the darker months arrive.

A retreat shaped by the old spirit of the land

There is something deeply elemental about West Cork.

The sea teaches surrender.
The land teaches steadiness.
The season teaches release.

And woven beneath it all is story.

This retreat is inspired by the old folklore of the region and the qualities those stories carry. The wave-like energy of Clíodhna moves through the more fluid, intuitive moments of the retreat. The grounded, weathered wisdom of the Hag of Beara lives in the slower practices of reflection, rest, and seasonal turning.

You do not need to know these stories to feel their resonance.

You may simply feel it in the sea air.
In the warmth of fire.
In the act of gathering from the land.

In the quiet recognition that something in you is ready to soften, and something in you is ready to be reclaimed.

What to expect

Over three peaceful nights, you’ll be held in a rhythm of:

  • grounding and gentle yoga

  • yin, restorative practices, and meditation

  • journaling and seasonal reflection

  • nourishing meals with a curated menu with on site professional chef

  • sauna and cold water immersion

  • time in nature and spacious rest

  • a half day wild foraging and fireside cooking experience

  • candlelit ritual and quiet moments of connection

  • an intimate group setting designed to feel warm, unhurried, and held

At the heart of the retreat is a half day immersion in the landscape itself. Together, we’ll step out into the wilds of West Cork for a guided foraging experience, gathering what the season offers before cooking and sharing food over a wild fire.

It is a living expression of The Gathering Season.
A chance to learn from the land, to slow your pace, to notice more, and to remember the simple nourishment of fire, food, and connection.

This experience brings the retreat themes to life so naturally. Gathering from the earth. Cooking over flame. Sharing what has been found. Honouring old ways of being in relationship with the land.

The flow of the retreat

Friday | Arrival, Exhale, Cross the Threshold

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be invited to slow down.

We begin with settling in, tea, and a warm welcome into the space, before gathering for an opening circle and grounding evening yoga practice. After dinner, we’ll close the day with candlelight and a soft introduction to the themes of the retreat: harvest, sea, land, intuition, and the quiet wisdom of seasonal turning.

Saturday | Gather, Root, Receive

Saturday offers space to arrive more deeply into yourself.

The day begins with a grounding morning practice inspired by the steadiness of the land, followed by breakfast and guided reflection on The Harvest Within. We’ll explore what has grown, what has supported you, and what you may be ready to carry forward.

The afternoon holds spaciousness for rest, wandering, journaling, or simply being, before softening into yin, nourishment, and evening reflection.

Sunday | Forage, Fire, Remember

Sunday is the heart of the retreat.

After a gentle morning practice, we’ll head into the landscape for our half day wild foraging and fireside cooking experience. A day of gathering, tasting, learning, and cooking over fire, rooted in the land and the old rhythms of the season.

Later, there will be time to rest and integrate before an evening of restorative yoga and a candlelit closing ritual. A chance to honour what has surfaced, what has softened, and what feels ready to be released.

Monday | Integrate, Bless, Return

On our final morning, we gather for a closing practice and breakfast together before a final circle to reflect and gently prepare to return home.

The intention is that you leave not only rested, but steadier in yourself. More rooted. More spacious. More connected to what truly matters.
